What DoMcq is

DoMcq is a practice system for multiple-choice questions you bring yourself. It gives those questions the timing, the scoring and the topic analysis of a real exam. It writes none of them.

DoMcq runs no AI

Nothing on domcq.com calls an AI. The prompts you copy run in your own ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini account, under your eyes. What comes back is checked by a strict, open validator and imported as it is.

That is why DoMcq cannot fix, explain or verify a question: if a file has a problem, DoMcq shows you exactly what it is, as a message you paste back to the AI that wrote the file.

DoMcq sells no questions

Every question in DoMcq belongs to a student. There is no question bank to buy and never will be. An exam module is rails, not content: the official topic list and weights, the question format, the timing, a prompt tailored to the exam.

The questions you keep in DoMcq can be exported at any time, all of them, in the same open format you imported them in.

Two ways in

Convert questions you already have: a class handout, a past paper, a file from a study group, an export from a bank you paid for. The convert prompt tells your AI to copy them exactly as written, with their answers and explanations.

Generate new questions: the prompt for your exam gives your AI the official outline and format; it writes the questions, you decide whether they are good enough to keep.

The format is open

Files are plain JSON in the domcq/1 format. The specification, the JSON Schema and the validator are published under the MIT license, so any tool can read or write them and nothing you make is locked in.
